Here's an interesting guy. Chicago HW Adolph Wiater. Fought Joe Louis in 1934. Louis' 7th pro fight. Wiater was about 17-1-1 with one NC against Johnny Risko. Many observers said later that his fight with Joe should've been called a draw. Very next fight dropped a decision to Corn Griffin (Griffin lost the 4 bouts before this and the next 4 after). Had surgery after fight in 1935, retired the following year.
