I think it needs to be fixed. I once traded a 4-star prospect three times and each time the A/I put him on waivers and I picked him up again. I got some juicy prospects that have panned out.
What I should have done was just let some other team claim him but my team sucked so bad at the time I couldn't resist the temptation.
