Actually I'd not rated this guy Cap. I did rate a middleweight, Hugo Kohler, he might be who your thinking of. Anyway, looked up Salfeld(BoxRec spelling) and here's my rendition of him to put a fighter with the photo.
Hugo Kalfeld Rating 1 Germany
1951-55 Heavyweight
13 wins / 9 losses / 10 draws / 4 KO
Hometown: Koln, Germany
Rating by: Rocco Del Sesto
Salfeld fought to 6 draws in his first 13 bouts in which he won 6. The only loss was to Werner Wiegand in April 1952. A couple of the draws were against Al Hoosman and Wilson Kohlbrecher.
Later wins included over Jo Weidi, Franco Cavicchi when Franco was DQ'd in the 4th round, Robert Eugene, Ansell Baba Adams. He fought later draw Wiegand and Uber Bacilieri and a no contest with Heinz Seelisch(18-24-9,12KO) when heavy rain stopped the bout. Seelisch earlier in his career fought a 10 round draw with Hein ten Hoff for the German HW Title.
Salfeld lost fights to Karel Sys in a bout refereed by Max Schmeling, Johnny Williams and then after the Seelisch no contest, Salfeld lost his last 5 career fights in succession to Franco Cavicchi, Hein ten Hoff, Joe Bygraves, Hans Friedrich and Hans Kalbfell.
