Too lazy to read the whole thread so forgive me if I am redundant.
Terrific game. ND had a great game plan but couldn't stop the Trojans when they needed. Somewhat reminds of the Giant's game plan vs. the Bills in Super Bowl XXV (except the G-Men had a much better defense to work with). Weis was on the Giant's staff at the time.
New York had the ball for 41 minutes to Buffalo's 19. I remember Thurman Thomas being almost unstoppable in that game but couldn't get the ball enough (135 yrds rushing on just 15 carries, 55 receiving, 1TD).
ND had the ball for over 38 minutes but USC gained an unbelievable 476 total yards in just over 21 minutes. Bush was phenomenal doing great damage with 3 TD's on just 15 carries.
No Norwood to save the Irish.
