Well, I'm about to create a "White Hope Era" universe, but I am not sure whether I am going to base it on the period from 1910 to 1915, or just 1912. It's easy to say, "Do the whole period", but in 1912 almost every top White Hope and black heavyweight of the time was active. When you pinpoint the time more, it is easier to get the abilities more exact. There is less conjecture.
The following is the decider: I don't have a photo of Jeff MADDEN 210 pounder out of Boston, who although he was a palooka, fought several times with known heavyweights in 1912(Bearcat McMahon, Arthur Pelky, etc.), so it would be uncomfortable to leave him out of a 1912 replay.
If I did the entire period, I couldn't leave Tom McCARTY out, and possibly minor palooka Al McCloskey.
You guys have helped immensely with photos. Is there a Jeff MADDEN photo out there anywhere?
