Here is what I will do. It replaces as before and adds the blank lines as needed. But when it finds a SO and SO retires... line, it will pull the guys name out and search the rest of the document for 'SO and SO resigns (or whatever the wording is, that is why I need a copy). and then put in the proper release line where it goes.
Then, all you will have to do is copy the original somewhere and rename the existing one. (I might even have it copy the original somewhere and rename it for you.)

One question, if you do this - when copying the original file somewhere and renaming the exsisting one, what do we do with the one that was copied? Do we then send it back to the .lg file?
