Funny A's related story:
A couple weeks ago I posted here about the jersey I wanted to get. I decided on Swisher and put in the order on mlb.com's shop. I waited and waited. I was originally going to Friday's White Sox/A's game, but all the good seats were gone and I didn't have the jersey yet anyway so last Thursday I bought tickets for yesterday's game. I went with a friend, cheered the A's, and did so in just an A's hat (well, I had on other clothes, but not the jersey).
Today the mail comes. Sure enough, the jersey is here. I would've loved to have had it on yesterday since Swisher had one of his better games. Oh well. I might make a road trip to Detroit in late August to see the A's. If not then, I'll probably go to a game against the Mariners in late September/early October when I'm back at school.
