STANDINGS
65-67, 5th in the AL, 22 games behind KC, 4-11 in the last 2 weeks

BAD NEWS
-We were bad in so many ways. This kind of reminds me how things were at times in my early days with the Tigers when we couldn't hit to save our lives but our pitching was good or we hit well, but our pitching or defense let us down.
-Perly is injured making him day2day for the remainder of the year... this with Coleman still out.
-Pond (1-4, 4.43) & Wolfe (2-5, 5.04) had a rough month.

GOOD NEWS
-Nolting had a decent month (4-3, 2.72).
-The minor league coaches are saying Lester Finley is about ready to make the jump to AA. I hope so as he is our only legit CF prospect. He's been way up and down according to our scouts so hopefully this is a sign that he's settling in some.
-Our AAA coach is telling me SP Bill Lovely is ready to move up. Maybe I should consider him for the #4 spot for September. He's had two solid AAA years and seems to have nothing more to learn there.
