Postseason

Division Series:
Minnesota (3) def Oakland (1)

Baltimore (3) def Seattle (1)

Milwaukee (3) def Atlanta (1)

Chicago (3) def Colorado (1)

LCS:
Baltimore (4) def Minnesota (2)
Losing Santana in late September did the twins in. Joe Nathan was solid out of the pen, but it wasn’t enough to get by the O’s

Milwaukee (4) def Chicago (1)
After leading the Division for almost the whole year, Milwaukee faltered down the stretch to let Chicago take the crown. However, Milwaukee got their revenge in the postseason, ousting Chicago with 4 very solid games.

World Series:
Game 1
Milwaukee def Baltimore 6-4. Ben Sheets pitched 7 solid innings, and got the win.

Game 2
Milwaukee def Baltimore 10-8. The Brew Crew slammed the O’s pitching early, but the Orioles never stopped believing. They kept chipping away at the lead, but ran out of time.

Game 3
Baltimore def Milwaukee 4-2. An unspectacular game, even if it was well pitched.

Game 4
Baltimore def Milwaukee 4-3. Ditto what I said about game 3.

Game 5
Baltimore def Milwaukee 5-2. Again, nothing special happening in the game.

Game 6
Milwaukee def Baltimore 5-4. Baltimore made it interesting with 4 runs after the 6th, but Milwaukee held them off to send it to a seventh game.

Game 7
Milwaukee def Baltimore 6-5. What a game seven. The game was tied at four headed into extra innings. Baltimore scored a run in the top of the 10th, only to see Geoff Jenkins hit a leadoff homer in the bottom half to tie it back up at 5. With two outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rookie CF Charlie Fermaint hit a bloop single to score the winning run. Milwaukee wins the World Series.
