They're also just 6.5 games behind the wild card leading Minnesota Twins. Yeah, it's too early to really focus on the Wild Card but 6.5 games is
nothing when it's still June. They still play the Twins 10 times, too.
I have a feeling Eric Byrnes might be on his way out. The Yankees and Cubs could both use an OF and Byrnes might bring the A's something. If the A's are in contention, which they are at this point, I can't see them trading Kotsay.
