I am strongly considering making a new, challenging league, but would like to see how many people would be interested before I make the website. Here it is:
Small Market Challenge
Small Market Challenge will be a 16 team league. The 16 teams will be composed from 16 small market baseball teams. Here are the teams that are being considered:
Tampa Bay
Baltimore
Minnesota
Detroit
Kansas City
Cleveland
Chicago (A)
Oakland
Anaheim
Montreal
Philadelphia
Florida
Chicago (N)
Pittsburgh
Milwaukee
San Diego
From the above 16, all the players will be dumped into an Initial Draft pool, and we will draft 10 rounds, letting CPU do the rest.
The challenge in this league is that all markets will be set to "small" and all fan loyalty will be set to average, with fan interest starting at 50 for every single team. The goal is to turn your small market into a New York Yankee type market. The more fan interest you get, the higher your market will get.
The league will be a 140 game season, and no DH will be used. We'd probably sim 15 days of the season twice a week.
