STANDINGS
3-7, 6th in the AL, 5.5 games behind KC

BAD NEWS
-I've underestimated how much my team has dropped off and how much the rest of the league has gotten better. I had hoped to carry forward at least 3 of my 4 SP from last season and remain competitive. But looking at the talent on the teams ahead of us in the standings makes me realize that even a winning season is looking doubtful. I'm not ready to panic yet, but I may have to listen to offers for Nolting if people are willing to make them. It seems like he has the talent to help a contending team. He certainly doesn't seem to like pitching in Detroit.
-Ray Kress: .125, 0HR, 0RBI and most of our other hitters aren't doing much better.
-Our prized prospect from this years draft Randy Bazer was injured and expected to miss a couple of weeks due to a sore back. We've worked hard to turn our farm system from dead last to (now) 3rd in the league... I know a lot of prospects never reach their potential, but Randy is one of those guys we are betting a lot on. So hopefully this is just one little early hickup and not a sign of things to come from him.

GOOD NEWS
-Matt Perly: .375, 4HR, 14RBI. He was our only consistent hitter in the last couple of weeks.
-Roy Wolfe: 2-0, 2.25 has started out hot.
-At 19 Nestor "Nasty" Camacho is already tearing it up in Buffalo-AAA. .390, 7R is a nice start.
