Guys, I managed to work through the error and get my Cato updated for the year that was choking it!
I did 3 things, but I think the last one was the most important.
1. Removed all cash from trades in the ltrans.txt file - I did this because I had read that the cash part was confusing the program in some cases.
2. I examined the prior year's ltrans file and found that only one item was really different - in the year that I was having problems, waiver claims were showing up 2 different ways. I edited each to read like Example A since that was the way it was done uniformly the year before.
A.) Team X: Claimed Player Y off waivers from Team Z.
B.) Team X: Player Y was claimed off waivers from Team Z.
3. After searching the board and reading
this thread, I found one, single, tiny little instance where a player page was being cited as rXXXX instead of pXXXX. I changed the r to p and everything went according to plan. As I said before, I think this is the one that was causing the problems.
