If he's pitching very well and is being very efficient in his pitch count, I see no reason why I would consider this a bad thing.

Look at Roy Halladay in real life for the Jays this year. I believe he is averaging more than 7+ innings per start, meaning on average, he is getting into the 8th inning more times than not, and he already has 5 complete games in like 15 starts.
I dont have the #'s in front of me but off the top of my head he is throwing 120-130 pitches in his complete games.

And he is pitching very effectively.

CG #1 - 3 H, 4 BB, 9 K, 0 ER (109 P)
CG #2 - 4 H, 3 BB, 8 K, 1 ER (131 P)
CG #3 - 6 H, 2 BB, 9 K, 2 ER (115 P)
CG #4 - 6 H, 1 BB, 11 K, 2 ER (110 P)

And since I forgot to add, I play out every game. Not sure if that makes much difference to be honest.

EDIT: So he is throwing less pitches than I thought. 131 being his highest and an average of 116.25 pitches per CG. Not too bad I guess.
