actually I can defiantely understand this lne of reasoning. while the leagues that i've been in have for the msot part avoided such flunkies, they do exist. some of the leagues that i've been a part of have asked for financial assistance as you' mentioned for the reasons above, and I would have no issue in the least for such a reasoning.
while i didnt see any negative feedback, you arent going to please everyone. I'd usualyl ask around for the reputation for prospective GM's, but that's jsut me. Good luck in either case.
