My Keystone League has had a couple great nicknames already, and it's only in its first season:
Larry "Iron Curtain" Portwood: This one is even better because the Keystone League began in 1960, when there was still such a thing as the Iron Curtain. I suppose he imposes totalitarian control on opposing hitters.
Wilfredo "Mr. Miracle" Cortada: This one has to be my favorite game-generated nickname yet. He's a slugging third baseman, 6'2", 220 pounds. I'm picturing him as a fan favorite with a big grin.
James "Hard Way" Kilgore: This one is just too cool.
When I was creating Negro League rookies for The Base Ball Life of Patrick O'Farrell, I began by generating players and editing them. I got a James James and a Rodrigo Rodriguez that way.
