V7 is a lot more change than this. As we learned recently, the whole code is being rewritten. Maybe this would have been (part of?) V7 if OOTP hadn't joined SI, but as it is, I think it's an excellent addition, and well worth the money.
There's so much new stuff, it honestly feels like a whole new version, and if anything, I'm happy to be dropping ten instead of twenty dollars on it.
Plus, I'm happy to support Markus and OOTP whenever I can, so I won't get too upset about it.
