To alter the DBs to get different results within the game, you must change the stats of the player/players to be imported.

Of the DBs linked above, the ScottVib one doesn't alter the information other than to sort it properly, and fill in some missing information. Ankits just adjusts the players debut to a season more closely indicating the players potential levels. Gambo's imports players on the year that the player was drafted and does some stuff to try and project the players development properly.

Other databases, such as Ankit's Normalized database, actually change the statistical values for the player to adjust the skills the player imports with, to get different results.
