Really? The first thing that came to my mind was .... Sailor Moon.
No offense, EWA, really. I loved Sailor Moon back then (and still think the first season is the best Anime Series ever made). It was just .... 13-year-old girl, falling in love with a ballplayer and of course the time .... 1992 ... it just fits.
