The Dragons made their first deal of the 2012 season, with the Amateur Draft approaching tomorrow. We sent out 1st Rounder (12th overall) and OF Christopher Francis to Massachusetts for their 1st overall pick (4th overall).

Opinions anyone? We've identified basically 5 key players in the draft, and this move to get one (at minimal expense - Francis was at best our 4th OF) should be big for us.

We do like some mid-to-late 1st round prospects, and are working to acquire additional picks. As it stands after selecting 4th, our next pick would be 36th (12th in round 2).
