Personally I think it's not a bad idea. The only problem I see is that I wouldn't join a league in which competing wouldn't be that important. No matter if you're new or a veteran it's all about winning isn't it ?

), I wanted to join an online league because I was sick of the AI and wanted to kick some real ass.
