The Yankees

Being a Braves fan, I was generally worried about two teams this offseason, the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. We all know the story on the Mets, but the Yankees came into the postseason looking like they were definatly going to win another pennant. With Jason Giambi, Alfonso Soriano, Derek Jeter, Raul Mondesi, and of course, Joe Torre. And after that call by Angels skipper Mike Scoscia in Game 1 it surely looked like the Yankees were heading for there 5th straight ALCS. But this Angels team never gave up, scrapping all the way to beat WAY more talented team. They had come from behind in both games 2 and 3, and had a chance to win it all from a team that EVERYONE picked to win the World Series. And now has I watch an 0-1 pitch to Jorge Posada it looks as if the Yankees will be going home, it looks as if the Yankees with their HUGE payroll can't do it. All the money that was spent, all the players traded to the Yankees, the Yankees couldn't come away with a championship. The first year without Paul O' Niell the team leader, the first time in awhile without Brosuis, and the first time without dominant closer Marino Rivera. This year the stone was cast, and David has once again slayed Goliath.
Good luck in the ALCS Halos.
