I really, really like Durazo. He has been my favorite since his debut. It's easy to support a guy that hit .400 in both AA and AAA. The team has never really backed him, though. When he came out of Spring Training leading both the Cactus league and the Citrus league (I think) in average and homers, it looked as though he had arrived. One injury later it's back to a three-man rotation (Durazo, Grace, Colbrunn). Very little the D-Backs have done for him has boosted what little confidence he has. Now, the talk is that Grace is going to stay on next year to groom Lyle Overbay for the firstbase job.
In my soul I know that we are going to trade him away and he will be another Edgar Martinez-type hitter.
