That sounds like a very good guess. If you or legs37 have CommishJoe's V6 exporter could you run that on your problem league(s) and look at the league.csv file? Somewhere around the 90th item in that file is a category simply labelled "All Star" that notes the day number of an All-Star Game. If the game is looking to create an All-Star Game going its normal route, I would think it would get noted in that. Perhaps it would take some playing around checking that csv file before & after import of the schedule and before & during the season, but that may yield something.
EDIT: I did some of this creating a 1-league 5/5/4 configuration. I imported a schedule for the first season and imported the original schedule the game generated (which I had exported before beginning experimenting) for the second season. I got to the end of the second season at the point where the "Proceed..." button pops up with no problem. I used CommishJoe's exporter many times, before & during those seasons, before doing any simulating after tinkering with various things like generating new schedules and flipping off some options. Never did I see anything indicating an All-Star Game would appear. I did notice that when generating a schedule within the game you get the option of an All-Star Break with one league where some offdays get put in around mid-season, but there is never a sign of an AS game.
Does the game actually pop up the little note saying that it is preparing the All-Star Game then freeze up? I am at a loss to explain why these problems may be happening. In doug's case the league sounds like it is not in season 1, while that of legs sounds new, which further adds confusion. Is there anything else either of you can think to add - manually editting the schedule in the game or by csv, other crashes involving the league, anything?
