You are blaming the wrong person. The software crashed. Something in the program caused it to crash. The report it generates can help the developers to figure out what caused the crash.

You can turn off the reporting by going into the control panel and selecting SYSTEM, then click on the ADVANCED tab, then click on the ERROR REPORTING tab.

You can disable the error reporting, but have it notify you of the error, like Windows 98 does or you can turn it off for programs and not windows or vice versa.

I have never heard what Microsoft does with the reports, if they really do look at them, but as for this program, I am sure they do not, as they more and likely just look at their programs or programs that get a lot of reports sent in on it.
