Yes, all games for the day are played. I've even run another 10 day sim since this happened. It still won't let me sign the player to this one team. It will allow other teams to sign him.

Is this possibly the player saying "I would rather be unemployed, than play for you?"

By the way, this is late in the season; now after Sept 1.
