Austin upsets Moran for Bantamweight title
December 30th, 1907
Watty Austin (10-8-1) gave champ Owen Moran (20-5-3) all he could handle in April before losing a UD15. This time Austin pulled off the upset winning a MD15.
Austin came out fast and finished strong to win the decision. Moran was dropped in the first round, but got up to drop Austin in the 4th.
Moran controlled the middle rounds but then lost the last 5 rounds to lose the fight.
