Devoid, no. After all, you did think up 40 teams. Spent? Could be. After all, you did have to think up 40 teams.
A thread to get ideas about these teams isn't a bad idea. When doing the uniforms, I give each team the "personality" that I see in the logo and try to come up with something that visually might match it. After all, every MLB team through the decades has had a group personality (sometimes just PR, sometimes real) and, you know, you can see it reflected sometimes in the uniforms they wore. (Also helps me not repeat the visual same idea over and over.)
As for the Marston 9's, I just though "What would Bill Veeck do with that idea?" .....
