I don't mind what style of uniform that the players wear, as long as they are clean. Biggio drives me crazy with his batting helmet that hasn't been clean since it came out of the box 4 years ago when the team changed uniforms (He got mad then 'cuz he had to throw out his older and nastier helmet). And he's not the only one who has pine tar helmet or sweat stain hat. To me that's just silly. This isn't the back yard, this is a multi-million dollar industry and these guys are wearing helmets and hats that could get up and walk out on their on. Take a little pride in yourself and clean up a little. You are a professional. Dress like it.
And don't give me any of this good luck crap. These are grown men, they need to act (by dressing) like it.
I know, I know, Crash Davis covered this in Bull Durham, talking about the shower shoes. But it's not colorful. It's lazy.
