McAuliffe batters Carney for Title Defense
September 29, 1907
Champ Jack McAuliffe (24-4-2) got off the canvas and battered #7 Jem Carney (17-12) in route to a TKO14.
Carney landed a solid uppercut in the 3 round and dropped the champ. From that point on it was all McAuliffe.
Jack knocked Carney down in the 5th, 6th and then twice in the 14th forcing the ref to stop the fight.
I had it 127-118 in favor of McAuliffe at the time of the stoppage.
