They signed him at age 34 to a 7 year contract? Are they insane?
I can understand the big dollars, he's one of the best pitchers of the modern era (granted, he'd be a 300 game winner if he could start 35 games a year), but the length of the contract is ridiculous, especially for a guy entering the number padding phase of his career.
