I agree.
I'm playing a solo league where the players are drawn from a random debut database, which makes those differences all the more clear, when you see guys who should be amazing like Dizzy Dean and Urban Shocker with truly dismal ratings (10-20 in Stuff), standing next to Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan with ratings in the 90s. Normalization would be the way to go.
