Manfred Ackers career of futility

Don't know how many of you have run across this guy, but his career is just something to look at. In a 10 year period from 1963 to 73 he fought 72 times winning only 8 fights, loosing 60! How did this guy keep getting fights to continue climbing into the ring! He had only one Knockout, that being by TKO. It came in his 8th and last win in his 65th fight! I kept running across this guy in looking through other european fighters and finally decided I got to rate this guy. Going to do it a little different though. There's actually quite a few of his opponents already rated. Either by myself or others. So, as a continuing contribution to this european fighters venture here, I decided I go through Ackers entire career and rated his opponents who haven't been done it. The guy actually fought some decent, and not so, opponents.

So...first up in Ackers very first fight on May 18th, 1963 was...

Karl-Heinz Troche Rating 1 Germany
Heavyweight 1963-68
7 wins / 10 losses / 0 draws / 2 KO

Birthplace: Eisdorf, Schlesien, Germany

Rating by: Rocco Del SEsto

Troche's career was one of two streaks. He won his first 7 fights, then lost his last 10 fights. Three of the 7 wins were over Manfred Ackers. His first win was over Robert Warmbrunn who was 16-47-3 at the time. The combined records of the other 6 wins were 2-10-1 and most of that was the 3rd meeting with Achers who was 1-7-0 at the time.

AFter the 3rd Ackers win came losses to Lars Olov Norling, Giuseppe Migliari, Ray Cillien, Peter Weiland, Dante Cane, Harry Kneipp, Jo Juvillier, Lothar Stengel, Horst Dreyer and finally Burghard Lembke.
