This is a rematch of last year and the teams are similar, but we are unlikely to see a 7 game series again. The Red Sox have improved their offense, but so have the Giants. The pitching, on the other hand, is an even bigger problem for Boston than it was in 1911. Their ace, Lou Schettler, strained his shoulder in the penultimate game of the season and will miss the entire series. Even with him they may have had a difficult time, but now the result is inevitable. Giants should match the Athletics with 3 straight championships rather easily.
