Mariano Garcia
Another Spanish flyweight. With a very odd career. Born 1945. Fought from 1969 through 1985. Record: 30-29-3 (8).
Spanish flyweight champion, 1972-1974 and 1976. Lost in EBU flyweight title bouts to Fritz Chervet in October 1972 and to Franco Udella in May 1978.
After his loss to Udella, Garcia won only three more bouts in six plus years. He came into that fight with a record of 27-8-3 (6). In the attached .tbdx file, he is rated through May 1978. Apparently Garcia was never the same after the Udella fight.
