I find it difficult to hate the Yankees just because they are the Yankees. If you want to hate someone or something about them, I could understand that. (ie George). But the players they have are for the most part class acts. It's hard for me to not like or at least respect a team like that.
Yes it gets old seeing them in the running year after year, but it hasn't always been like that, and I don't think it always will be. But they are like the Notre Dame of baseball, they have lots of country-wide fans and probably always will. They are so rich and deep in history it's hard not to find something to like about them.
That said, I'd like to see Oakland or Minnesota represent the AL this year!
