I can appreciate the fact that you were trying to go a different route than the obvious sun idea, but in this particular case, I tend to believe that maybe the obvious idea actually would have been the best idea. You say that the name "Sunrays" relates to "Devil Rays," which may be true, but their meanings are completely different. Whereas the Tampa Bay Devil Rays represent an animal, the name "Sunrays" was chosen to represent the wine industry in and around the San Jose area, with the sun being the central focus (since that is one of the main factors in the production of the wine).
You have some real talent, I just don't think this particular logo really showcases it.  |
Well Chris, I don't think I meant that taking the shark route is a better concept than the sun. I simply chose this route because I anticipated most people doing something along the lines of a shining sun, and if I had done somethign similar, it would just be yet another sun in the bunch. But I personally would rather take a chance and do something drastic or "revolutionary" if I get a chance. I mean how often does one get to be creative with absolutely no regard for any consequences.
If it's bad, then it's bad, but at least I know I did not just follow, I lead.
