Especially since Andrew follows him in the rotation. Andrew is one of the best at pitching CGs when he's pitching well.

STANDINGS
18-19, 5th in the AL, 9GB Philly, 6-8 in the last two weeks
BAD NEWS
-Ormiston .230, Perly .244, Kitterman .215, Degal .184 - enough said.
-Ulrich also continues to struggle. 2-4 is not good enough from our #2 starter.
-Philly is too good to give them the kind of lead that they have. We need to step up soon. I'm getting tired of seeing my team play catchup. I can take years of losing if I am rebuilding a team, but this team is in its prime and is underachiving badly.
GOOD NEWS
-Andrew had three excellent CG wins and one stinker. His stuff is starting to look a little better and is hopefully be on his way regaining his all-star form.
-Stell pitched fairly well in his four starts (3.10 era). His record would be better if he would have gotten some more run support.
-Dave Castaneda continues to get better with his bat (.327) although it appears he's been slacking on his glove work a bit. He's no longer rated a 10 at SS.
-Both Isaac Mitchell and Carl Sandoz have been hitting well since I decided to let them share RF. Isaac starts against lefties and also gives Kress the occasional day off and has responded with a .385 since seeing his at bats increase.
-We have 3 in the AL Top5 HR hitters... now if only they would start hitting for better average...
-AA OF Gin Allen has been working on his defense and has picked up RF. He actually looks best in RF now where he has gold glove potential to add to his powerful swing. In a year or two I could see him replacing Short as our primary backup at all OF positions and possibly earn a starting spot a little later down the road just as Rollin Fish did. Sandoz is 33 and has already seen his skills on the decline. Gin should be primed to take advantage if age slaps Sandoz down any more.
