new rosters and retired.dat
for those who have created rosters for various years, like the bornin69 one, I have a question. How do you create the retired.dat file? Do you need Excel? What I want to do is create a 1937 league, and have the players who are in the HOF who ended their career prior to 1937 be there. The way I normally do it is to just import them as free agents, and then when they retire induct them into the HOF. But the problem invariably develops that some team signs one or them and they end up playing in a few games. Not a major problem, one I can live with, but its just a little wierd to have, say Cap Anson, show that he played in 1897, and then suddenly played a few games in 1937.
So I guess I am asking if there is a way to have them retired right at the start of the league I am playing, rather than playing a season and then having them retire. Or is there another way around this?
