Atlanta Crackers 1901

The Expansion team and the Phillies diary really inspired me to this, so here we go...
The Diary of the Atlanta Crackers

12/29/1899- Recieved notice that I got the baseball club here in Atlanta

12/30/00-Draft finished today, we're low on pitching and high on hitting.

4/1/01-Won our first game 5-4 over the Redbirds of Memphis, James Furnam hit 2 homeruns and drove in two, we got a complete game effort from Felix.

4/7/01-Been busy, dropped todays game 11-5 to Nashville, Doug Hodges has been my best investment so far, we ended the week 4-3 2 games back of Nashville.

4/8/01-Ouch, Nashville scorched us again. 16-9 this time. Paper said we couldn't beat Nashville if our lives depended on it, I think Im going to trade some of our hitting for some pitching.

4/9/01-Traded a Prospect and Carl Geyer (our LF) for Micheal Sais (league leader in ERA) this may help our pennant run.In what was a hell of an offensive series, we finish off the Stars with a 10-6 victory. George Hakes hit a grandslam, and my team has had a great offensive season.

4/20/01-First Place! No way can this credit go to our pitching, the drive has been lead by Doug Hodges he's hitting .403 19 HR and his driven in 25. We lost Ken Ostrander for four weeks today, that hurts since he had bashed 17 and driven in 30 and was hitting .338, well onto the ballpark!
