Which 9 years were those?
He won 2 Batting titles
4 times had best Obp and Slg
6 Times led in Ops
Twice led in hits, speaking of which only twice in his career did he top 200 hits in a season. Not coincidently he won the batting title those 2 years.
A .301 career Avg with just over 2000 hits doesn't cut it for me. The only thing that even made me consider him for more than a few seconds was the 797 career SB's.
