All is well...it just took Cox Cable and 7 tech support people 4 days to figure this out...actually I figured it out. My computer would connect to the internet at the repair shop, but wouldn't connect at my house. The repair techs said nothing was wrong with my computer. Cox thought it was.
So, I decided that it was either the modem or the wiring in the house.
I went and bought a new modem...plugged in...and it worked.
It is nice to be back.
