This is so stupid. In no way should Ichiro be referred to as a .300 hitter. Yes yes... he bats in the .300's of course, but saying thats what he is implies he's a Polanco type hitter, doesn't it? Look at the numbers however you want (only so and so many more hits...) but there is a tremendous difference between .300 and .340. Also, forget the numbers. Watch the guy bat. He hits anything. He may have the best swing in baseball right now, and he's smart too. Yes his avg is down, but overrated he is not.
