November 17th, 1906

The P4P #1 fighter Tommy Ryan (26-0) scored a KO11 over #1 Joe Walcott (14-10-3).

Ryan controlled the fight from the start. He was cut over the right eye in the 2nd. From that point on he battered Walcott. swelling up Walcott's right eye in the 5th, cutting him under his left eye in the 9th and knocking him down and out in the 11th.

Ryan was way ahead on the scorecards when the fight was over.

*** note Ryan will most definitely be one of the candidates to move up after the year. Since the new chart was made I figure at the end of each year a certain # of fighters will have a chance to move up.

LW - Freddie Welsh (9-0) TKO2 Frank Erne (8-1-2) (Erne seperated his shoulder early in the 2nd)
