i would like to build on what Wildhawke just said. Seeing that we will never come close to the excitement of radio days, I would like to again say that perhaps an option for commentary could be implemented. Those who wanted vervage could get it. Myself I don't need the verbage, I just need to know what happened the announcer in my imagination can do much more than C++ can do. I do this with the Baseball simulator I have, it gives me the option of detailed commentary or no commentary. No commentary just shows results like "Homerun, that's his XX of the season", "or 6-4-3 Double play." Detailed commentary is like "He swings and there is a long drive blah blah"
I prefer to supply my own commentary. Just plain and simple, xxxx lands a hook, xxxx lands a right cross, xxxxx lands a jab, xxx missses with a (whatever), xxxx is down, and so on.
