I was surfing the web and found this:
Mirrors. Photographs from the Arkansas State Prison 1915-1937. Instead of focusing on the hard life people had back then, I got to thinking, put a cap and a uniform on these guys and they'd make great, authentic-looking old-time ballplayers.
Ever notice in pictures of major leaguers from at least the 1930s and earlier, everyone looks a lot older that people today? Eddie Ciccotte of the 1919 Black Sox looked at least 50, but was only 37.
