The game maybe following the procedures for before the deadline & just stopping the transaction at the end.
If you are playing a solo league you are blocked from negotiating & making trades after the dealine.

This is for an online league. You should still be able to trade after the deadline if the players clear waivers. All of the players cleared waivers, but the trades still won't go through.
