It should be an exciting time on campus. Had I known I would have been on TV, I would have played for them this year...as shallow as that is. I've had a good time playing pickup ball with most of these guys. I invite you all to tune in on February 3 and check out their unique style of play. Expect to see them score 120+ in this one.

Grinnell College's widely popular men's basketball team will face Beloit College (Wis.) in one of the first regular-season NCAA Division III games to be televised nationally by ESPN's family of networks.
ESPN2 will televise live from Grinnell's brand-new Darby Gymnasium when the Pioneers (4-4, 1-0 MWC) and Buccaneers (2-5, 0-2 MWC) hit the hardwood on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in a Midwest Conference contest at 8 p.m. CST.
"I'm excited to know that our style of play will be seen by the millions of basketball fans who have never seen us play before," Head Coach David Arseneault said. "I think it's great for the two schools involved and great for the game of basketball."
For the past 11 years, Arseneault's teams have led all playing levels in scoring and three-point shooting en route to three Midwest Conference titles and one NCAA Tournament appearance. His full-court pressing, up-tempo system utilizes upwards of 16 players on any given night and is responsible for the program's gaudy offensive numbers. Last season's squad scored an NCAA-record 126.2 ppg, with this year's team not far-behind that record-setting pace with an average of 120.5 ppg to date.
"Our men's team has an excellent and exciting system that uses a large number of players and that is what Division III athletics should aim for," Grinnell College president Russell Osgood said. "Appearing on ESPN2 will also provide us with a wonderful opportunity to showcase our new facility to the rest of the country, our trustees, and other donors who made it possible."
"Grinnell College's unique offensive style of play will make for an interesting and compelling telecast," said Burke Magnus, vice president and general manager, ESPNU. "We are consistently looking for opportunities to showcase all forms of college basketball and look forward to featuring this high-scoring team to our national audience."
