A real player league, the
Home Plate Baseball League (
http://www.hpbl.pointatrad.com) has taken where the MLB left off starting at 2004, recruited 30 owners to create a great OOTP League.
The two teams that are open are the
San Francisco Giants and the
Chicago White Sox. The San Francisco is having just another bad year with another un-trustworthy owner. They are in line for a top 5 pick if they continue this skid.
The Chicago White Sox is only one game behind the Minnesota Twins in the American League Wild Card. They have one of the best offences in the league, but their pitching staff may need some work in order to make it to October baseball.
If you're interested in joining the league, we ask you to either post a thread on our league message board under the Non-GM forum, or send an e-mail to
raderick24@pointatrad.com. Whichever you do, please supply us with your name, e-mail address, and a little about yourself. A copy of OOTP6 is a requirement, and common knowledge of the game of baseball is always welcome.
If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail me, PM me or send me an AIM at Raderick24.
The HPBL is currently at the All-Star Break in 2006, so there is enough time to shape out how you want your team to be in the final two months of the regular season.
