ratings can thhey go either way

So looking at a pitcher some have great stuff and movement but crappy pitches but on the other hand some have great pitches but has poor movement but wouldn't you think if they have great pitches...

when a player gets hurt and is out for 6 weeks, is there a benefit to putting him on the disabled list opposed to just taking him out of the lineup and just letting him be inactive on your roster?
